Transferring MR Points start as low as 1,000 Points. With 1,000 Points transferred, you will receive 500 SPG Points, so please use this measurement as a guideline as to how much points you are willing to transfer during this promotion.

Final Analysis:

Current American Express Platinum Cardholders will now be able to reap full benefits of a 50% Transfer Rewards Rate when you transfer your Membership Rewards Points to Starwood currency. Valid for transfers made between October 17 and November 17, 2016. Minimum transfer amount is 1,000 points. Now 50% transfer bonuses come and go and we’ve seen just about the same 50% bonus every October for the last two years. There’s nothing new really new or appeasing with this bonus but if you take into account Starwoods merger with Marriott… You could take advantage of Marriott’s travel packages with up to 180,000 Membership Rewards Points, you’d be getting seven nights award stay at a category 1-5 properties. This isn’t necessarily a promotion I would go out of my way to achieve considering Membership Reward’s low transfer rates.
