Holiday Observations
When a holiday falls on a weekend, the FRS treats the holiday in one of two ways:
*If the holiday falls on a Saturday, the FRS does not observe the holiday on the preceding Friday.
**If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the FRS observes the holiday on the subsequent Monday.
If you complete any sort of online transaction on any of these days, since the bank is closed, your transactions may not process until the next business day.
Conclusion
If you are interested in knowing which days banks usually close be sure to check out the table above. If you’re not sure if this applies to your bank, feel free to call ahead. If all else fails, many banks offer mobile and online banking so you can access your money anytime, anywhere!
