The official bank of the NBA BBVA, is now offering a great opportunity for BBVA NBA Cardholders to take advantage of the 5x points through June 1- June 15. The BBVA NBA card earns 5x rewards twice a year, during the NBA Finals and during the All-Star weekend, and with the NBA Finals around the corner, you can reap the benefits of this point category!
Note that the 5% cash back used to be uncapped, however, rolling around towards 2017, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll ever see such a thing. BBVA is going to put a cap of $5,000 in purchases per period. This means we’ll only be able to max this out by spending $5,000, getting $250 back during the All-star weekend and another $5,000 will be spent towards Finals with another $250 cash back.

Conclusion:
This card may be coming to it’s midst, and rolling into June of 2017, it’s going to be highly unlikely that we’ll ever see this card again considering it may be converted to another BBVA Card, however, your BBVA NBA American Express 5% will still be valid through June 1 to June 16, in which case, you will be capped the $5,000 in spending with a pretty nice $250 cash back rewarded to you. I would reframe from putting any risky spending on Warehouse clubs, Plastiq or any cash-payment-transfer service like Venmo.
