Just a reminder that the Chase Freedom Card is nearly approaching it’s decade old-age, but all reminiscence aside, let’s get to some real discerning matters. The additional 10% points per $1 spent and 10 bonus points on every transaction when you held a Chase deposit account is a well remembered perk on the Freedom and it lasted a surprising 5 years, until 2015 with most cardholders losing such a benefit. A rare exception of cardholders, were however deemed grandfathered into the program and receives this benefit-bonus to this day. Moreover, it seems that even grandfathered cardholders won’t be able to reap this much longer considering that on August 28, Chase will push towards no longer offering such a benefit attached.

Guess down the line, completely discontinuing the benefit was inevitable. Don’t forget to check our the full list of Credit Card Promotions!
