Tragic news rolls out as PayPal Digital Cards and Cardcash will no longer be earning the 5x when paying with Chase’s Ink Cash Business, nor will we be seeing the 3x trigger on the Ink Business PreferredSM either. We’re assuming that the factor could be PayPal Digital Gifts and Cardcash coding differently. With this change, we’ll only be seeing 1x the points on PPDG and Cardcash. Buying gift cards via CardCash and PayPal Digital Gift was the most viable way to rack in a substantial amount of Ultimate Rewards points. There was a pretty solid profit margin from reselling alone.

Conclusion:
I reiterate that buying gift cards via CardCash and PayPal Digital Gift was the most viable way to rack in a substantial amount of Ultimate Rewards points. With recent changes, it seems that PPDG and Cardcash updated their coding which nullifies the 5x triggered from INK Plus/Cash Visa card and the 3x triggered from INK Preferred card. The Ink Bold Mastercard seems to still be triggering the 5x but it’s testing waters at this point.
