Available In-Branch only(YMMV), visit your local Chase branch and see if you can apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card to earn 70,000 Bonus Points when you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. You can also get an additional 5,000 points when you add an authorized user within the first 3 months and they make a purchase.
The card gives you double points on all dining and travel expenses while still giving you one point on all other purchases. It also offers no foreign transaction fees and has the annual fee waived the first year, then $95. I recommend linking this card with a Chase Freedom to transfer points for hotel and airfare credit. Travelers everywhere, this is one of those cards that are a must have in your wallet, and now, you can take advantage of this offer as well as get your hands on a Sapphire Preferred!
Editor’s Note:
- Some readers have reported being targeted for a 70,000 point sign up bonus after $4,000 in spend on the Chase Sapphire Preferred when they applied in the branch. Most of them are Chase Private Client Status and they were pre-approved which helps them to bypass the Chase 5/24 rule
- You may want to ask to be matched if you apply for the 50K points offer recently by sending a secured message. Or visit the branch and inquire about the 70K offer.

Hi Chris,
I spoke with Chase customer service for my CSP card today and they told me if I could produce a copy of the letter they would match this bonus (assuming I spend the amounts). They were actually quite diligent on their end in looking for it in their targeted offers and could not find it.
Can you please post a copy of the full letter? It is ok if sensitive info like last name and address are blacked out.
