Chase is currently targeting Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Plus Card cardholders an option to upgrade to the Premier Credit Card ($99 AF) as well as getting 1,500 points in doing so. Essentially, once you make the upgrade, you must be able to make your first purchase by June 30, 2017.
If you choose to upgrade to the Southwest Premier Variant, you should expect perks such as 6,000 miles in anniversary bonus, up to 15,000 in tier qualifying points on top of no foreign transaction fees and much more!
Editor’s Note: This offer is targeted towards Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Plus cardholders. YMMV.

Conclusion:
Before we end this post, I want to make some distinctions between the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Plus and Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Premier Card, besides the $69 vs $99 annual fee of course. Only real difference is the anniversary cardmember bonus of 3,000 Bonus Points on the Plus and 6,000 Bonus Points on the Premier. Essentially, when you upgrade to the Premier, you will receive all the amenities that the premier earns + 1,500 in bonus points. Note that Southwest points are worth 1-1.39 cents apiece.
