Seems like there might be some more changes regarding the Citi 24 Month-Family Rule. Previously, you couldn’t be able to get a sign-up bonus on a new card if you’ve opened or closed a card within the same family within the past 24 months. It seems now, Citi is pushing new language on top of the 24 Month Rule stating that “The Offer Is Only Valid For New Accounts Only”. Most, if not, all of Citi’s Cards have this new terminology attached now. There’s still speculation towards this new language.

Conclusion:
With speculation towards this language, there can be nothing good derived from it, being quite frank, in this day and age, Banks being less strict on churners or gamers is definitely never a case. With rules and regulations, banks rarely ever turn back on their word. I’m assuming in terms of strict, Citi has turned towards a Amex Once Per Lifetime solution. Now, reassuringly, we will get a better statement from Citi soon. Of course, this wouldn’t necessarily affect the average consumer. Find our complete list of Credit Card Promotions today!
