Style
The renovated Le Méridien Stoneleigh gave a fresh and modern take on the former Art Deco-era hotel. The designers at Studio 11 keeps the property’s classic lines and décor and added contemporary, residential furnishings for a subtle opulence that paid homage to the hotel’s glamorous past, with a dash of style. Works by Texan artists added local flavor throughout the building.
Room
All 176 rooms and suites at Le Méridien feature a cool blue and gray color scheme with dark wood furnishings and oversized windows. The 370-square-foot King Guest Room comes with a pillowtop mattress, a 55-inch HDTV and a walk-in closet. The accent wall behind the bed added vibrancy to the classic room, and the sleek marble bathroom was furnished with a shower and tub combo, chrome fixtures and spa toiletries.
Facilities
Le Méridien Stoneleigh had all the amenities of a luxury hotel, minus the spa. There is the outdoor pool with cabanas and comfy chaise loungers, a 24-hour, state-of-the-art fitness center, and a full-service business center. The property also housed seven event rooms with a total of 5,357 square feet of event space.
Food & Drink
Besides room service, Le Méridien only offers one dining option during the stay. Perle on Maple was a French bistro with a distinct Texas twist and a focus on locally-sourced ingredients. Start your dinner with baked local goat cheese before enjoying the steak frites, rainbow trout with meuniere butter, and finishing off the meal with bourbon pecan pie. We definitely recommend a meal here, but make sure to reserve a table, because this place is quite popular with the locals.
Service
The service at Le Méridien is prompt and professional throughout your stay. Surprisingly, what stood out the most is the online booking process. If you make your reservation directly with the hotel, you can “choose your features,” with options like whether you want extra pillows and which floor you prefer. The hotel made sure to tick all the boxes we checked, which made us feel like extra special guests.
Location
Le Méridien Stoneleigh lies in Uptown, an upscale area north of Downtown filled with trendy boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and cocktail lounges. The hotel is just a half mile from the Katy Trail and Turtle Creek, and the Convention Center and Central Business District are about 2.5 miles away.

Conclusion
If you want to stay Uptown at a place with some history and modern amenities, this is an amazing option for you. However, if you want a location with an onsite spa, Hotel ZaZa is a better fit.
