It goes without saying that a majority of banks out there allows us to have credit cards and bank accounts show up under the same online account login. A year ago, Discover recently prompted every relationship holder to link their logins together as one. Discover used to allow a single credit card and Discover bank account as a separate login. The system would track your account(s) based on SSN. Upon merger, you will be able to choose one of the userID/password combos accounting for both logins.
Editor’s Note: Discover is currently offering a Refer-A-Friend Program for current Discover Cardholders. When you refer a new Discover credit card applicant, you could earn yourself a $100 bonus(es) for both you and your referred recipient! Click here for an Exclusive Discover It $100 referral Link.

Conclusion:
If you have a Discover credit card as well as a banking account with them, odds are that you’ve been prompted to merge your logins for both your credit card account and bank account. This “merge” isn’t necessarily new news whatsoever considering they gave this option since last year, but some have been getting their accounts automatically merged. As for the CashBack Match or referrals, some have reported some discrepancy when merging logins, so it could be a good idea to keep both accounts separate until the first year ends.
