Seems like not even the Mercedes-Benz Credit Card from American Express is safe from further renditions as AMEX puts a $15,000 of purchases at US gas stations per calendar year spending limit effective May 1, 2017. The 3X points on gasoline at U.S. gas stations for EACH transaction of $400 or less wasn’t enough apparently. Kind of weird considering I wouldn’t necessarily imagine people MS this card for the gas alone with the already transaction limit attached.

Conclusion:
Starting May 01, 2017, You will be limited to the first $15,000 in spending each calendar year imposed on the 3x on U.S. Gas Stations with your Mercedes-Benz Credit Card from American Express. Definitely a huge limitation, and seemingly unnecessary addition considering that gas already gets it’s restriction of each transaction of $400 or less with this card.
