Now, I’m sure plenty of you folks have remembered the Platinum Card® from American Express Exclusively for Mercedes Benz’s 75,000 Membership Rewards Points Bonus after making a spend of $3,000 within the first 3 months.
For the select individuals that applied for this prestigious card’s significantly generous sign-up, considering that there was a high traffic volume of consumers that applied for this card makes it difficult for American Express to reach the utmost demands of their customers. It’s then evident that you’re currently in a dispute as to when you’ll receive the card and further delays. It’s nice to hear that American Express has taken measures to keep their AMEX consumers satisfied with an additional 18 days to meet the minimum spend, and a standardized compensation.
Editor’s Note: The standard compensation varies; I still recommend that if you’ve participated in applying for this card that you call as soon as possible to reap the standard compensation. It’s been reported that most individuals received a 5,000 additional MR points, as well as 4,00 points or $100.

- Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World EliteTMMasterCard®

Conclusion:
This isn’t the first slip-up from American Express; A considerable mention is the Amex’s Hamilton Presale for Platinum and Centurion. This isn’t a very attractive aspect from American Express considering that their loyal customers are spending upwards of $450 annually for a card that should offer a promised utmost exceptional services, but keep in mind that the traffic volume on both of these situations play a huge factor and expecting for “Godly” services would be uncalled for.
Now, I do find it faulty that American Express charges a $450 annual fee and in speculation, it takes 3-4 weeks to receive a Prestigious card that you’d expect to be expedited standard. It’s nice to see that American Express is retaining their services though, with an extension on their minimum spending and well-generous compensation.
