RoomiPay is another option for paying your rent with a credit card. this young start-up app dived head-first with no fees for rent payments, only to have the fees fixated to 2% interest as of this month. Basically, they started out with no fees for rent payment, found out it would be a bad idea through test and trial and now have an attached 2% fee. Some things worth noting: the 3x on Citi’s AT&T Access More does trigger with payments towards RoomiPay. Their services are quite similar to what you’d see with RadPad or Cozy Pay’s Rent Payment Services except they charge lesser fees at 2% interest and they offer a roommate listing market place.
Editor’s Note: Seems like the link doesn’t work. Promptly directed to the site and a message appeared addressing, “Hello! Thanks for your interest in RoomiPay. Unfortunately we have already reached our maximum number of participants for this month. Check back again next month!” Although the site says to check back again in a month, sometimes the link goes back live within just a few days. You can always try again if the capacity is reached for the month. One thing I must mention, this is Highly YMMV. Seems like the recent updates spiked the interest rates to 2.5%, however, it doesn’t seem to be enforced yet.

RoomiPay Rent Payment Features:
- They recently raised approximately $17 million as a young start-up “roommate listing market place” and rent payment service app.
- Update: 2.5% Fee for Credit Cards (Mastercard, American Express, VISA, Discover).
- Citi’s AT&T Access More triggers 3x on rent payments.
Final Analysis:
We know that the Citi’s AT&T Access More triggers the 3x the points on rent payments made via RoomiPay. Now, we’ll just have to wait and see if the Chase Sapphire ReserveSM will be triggering that 3x the points for “travel and dining.” I’m assuming that won’t happen, but fingers crossed. This service is highly YMMV. If you didn’t make it because of “maximum capacity,” you can always try again in a few days to see if the link goes live. If not, come back next month. Now, RadPad went down the same path and we all seen how that went. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing more of RoomiPay in the stretch of 2017. I recently came across Cirtru Pay and surprisingly they are charging 0% Fees (sounds too good to be true). I found my roommate via Cirtru but we have not tried using Cirtru Pay. Have you heard about them? Is Cirtru Pay legit? And how come they are doing at 0% fees? Wont they be paying something to someone who processes such payments?
