Final Analysis:
Now the Sewing & More Credit Card does offer you the opportunity of Special Financing up to 6 Months on gear and purchases priced at $150+, however it must be an added note that deferred payment can be a hassle, especially if you’re not experienced with how the system works. A 29.99% APR is appalling and getting it attached to your whole balance is quite the fee you do not want to mess with. Pay off your balance in a timely manner! It may take up to 2 weeks to process your payment through to Synchrony, so keep that in mind! Don’t forget to check out our full list of Credit Card Bonuses if you’re not interested at the moment.
These people are scammers. They offer a 10yr, 0% interest rate if you make the monthly payment (balance divided by 120 = monthly payment) They send out my statements on the 20th of the month. I have been making biweekly payments of $120 into the account (monthly payment is 223), and have been consistently at least one biweekly ahead of the due dates ($120 ahead). They charge a late fee each month, and raise the minimum monthly payment despite more than the minimum monthly being received by them each statement closing date. I tried using their message system to inquire why they were not properly crediting my account, never got a reply, but they refunded one of the late fees. I then tried calling, was on hold for 45 minutes under the guise of corona slowdown, and when I finally got an offshore call center spent 30 minutes trying to get an answer as to why they were not crediting the funds. She could NOT understand what I was trying to explain, despite going through five months of statements line by line with the date they show receipt of the money. When she told me she had already been on the phone with me for 20 min, I let her have it with “I’ve been on hold 45 to talk to you”. She then informed me that she was reversing the $51 late fee, and the minimum payment would be going back to $223. And then said it’s a revolving charge and their system just doesn’t credit money paid in one month against a bill due next month. Whatta crocka crap. Scam to raise the minimum and get late fees. DON’T TAKE THIS CARD!!!!
Where can I use this card?
I bought a top-of-the-line sewing machine ($11,000) with this credit card 2 years ago. I paid this machine off in a few months. Last Saturday I traded this in for a new top-of-the-line machine, different manufacturer. I needed to increase my credit line to make the purchase and I was denied by Synchrony over the phone. I make good money and felt like a criminal at the sewing store. Time to drop them like a bad habit.
